Clinical Applications of Neuroplasticity

This workshop, based on the best-selling books The Brain that Changes Itself and The Brain’s Way of Healing, draws on revolutionary research and extraordinary advances in the field of neuroscience to illuminate the amazing extent to which the brain is able to change and heal. Dr. Doidge weaves together scientific research, case histories, his own insights, and original films of real people undergoing neuroplastic change, to explain how we can apply these findings in clinical practice – and to help clients/patients with a range of emotional, psychological, psychiatric and brain disorders to achieve a level of recovery that was once thought impossible.

Dr. Doidge will discuss neuroplastic approaches and new treatments for a range of conditions, including ADD, learning disorders, autism, sensory processing disorders, PTSD, depression, schizophrenia, chronic pain, traumatic brain injury, stroke, MS, Parkinson’s disease and dystonias, among others. He will also explore how to reduce the risk of Alzheimer’s disease and dementia, and will present findings about a monumental breakthrough in the treatment of Alzheimer’s Disease which shows, for the first time, that it is possible (in a number of cases) to reverse the symptoms.

This innovative workshop will inspire and offer hope about the possibility of overcoming previously baffling mental and physical conditions. Even better than that, it will explain how to use the principles of neuroplasticity to improve (in many cases) – and in some cases even cure – these conditions, so that we can better help our patients/clients, our loved ones and ourselves.
