The vision for this event is to bring together members of our local community along with creative and interfaith thought-leaders at the forefront of trying to create change within the justice and carceral contexts. We recognize that the work of the spirit (including art) offers fertile ground for supporting those who are justice-involved and for facilitating change towards a more healed version of the justice system.
Through this event we are facilitating dialogue about coalition-building (how can we come together to create positive change within the justice system,) the ways that art and faith influence culture and how we can work with these skills to foster positive change, how faith and art can serve as wellsprings of support and inspiration for justice-involved individuals, communities and more!
The event will feature an art class hosted by Paint Nite and a yoga class facilitated by Sylvie Gouin of Inspired Living.
There will also be a panel discussion, moderated by CCJC President Dr. Rebecca Bromwich.
