Through project review, data, and storytelling, we explore CMHA Hamilton’s co-design of Stepped Care 2.0 model of care change responding to the extensive wait list for Intensive Case Management and created more flexible options for those living with mental health and addictions.

Mary Ellen Ruddell | Director, Peer Support Services (CMHA Hamilton) & Director, Clinical Services (Hamilton Program for Schizophrenia)
Mary Ellen Ruddell is director, Peer Support at CMHA, Hamilton and Director, Clinical Services at HPS. Her portfolio includes building partnerships and maintaining trust with community partners. She is the co-chair of the Hamilton Local and HNBHN Regional HSJCC Tables. She has been a leader in community sector healthcare for eight years with an emphasis on mental health and co-design with individuals with PWLLE.

Harrison Wheeler | Director, Peer Support Services (CMHA Hamilton) & Director, Clinical Services (Hamilton Program for Schizophrenia)
Harrison Wheeler is a peer support worker at CMHA Hamilton and the Recovery College peer support specialist with over 25 years of living experience with addiction and mental illness. He graduated McGill’s Bachelor of Education Program and holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Education and Digital Technologies from UOIT, focusing on how recovery, education, and creativity intersect.
