CRCL: Improving Outcomes for People in Crisis, Responders, and Community – 2025-11-04

Discover how CRCL, a community-led and provincially supported crisis response model in British Columbia (BC), delivers timely, in-person support for individuals in mental health crisis. Kim Mackenzie | Director of Policy, CMHA BC
Kim Mackenzie is the Director of Policy at the Canadian Mental Health Association – BC Division, where she draws upon her diverse experiences working in community, non-profit and government. She has had the privilege of working on a variety of intersecting policy issues including mental health and substance use, children and youth, gender equity, income security and access to justice.

Jonny Morris | CEO, CMHA BC
Jonny Morris is CEO of the Canadian Mental Health Association, BC Division, BC’s largest mental health nonprofit. Informed by personal and family lived experience, he has led CMHA BC since 2019, launching innovative programs including crisis response teams and expanding treatment and recovery beds. Previously, he served as Senior Director of Policy and Legislation with BC’s Ministry of Mental Health and Addictions and holds degrees in Child and Youth Care from the University of Victoria.

Nick Sandor | CRCL Clinical Director, CMHA BC
Nick Sandor is the clinical director of Crisis Care Practice and Programs at CMHA BC. Nick brings a wealth of experience in community support services lending his passions to roles such as the executive director of the Men’s Therapy Centre in Victoria. He is driven to support others find wellness through mutual learning, exploring resiliency, and participating in communities of care.
