Be Your Own Ally: Self-Compassion in the Healing Journey

November 28 @ 7:00 pm 8:00 pm

Join us on Giving Tuesday for a conversation on the importance of finding self-compassion and its connection to the healing journey. We will explore why many people, particularly those who have experienced moral injury or trauma, struggle to show themselves the same kindness and acceptance that they readily offer to others. We will also discuss how without self-compassion, the healing journey can be compromised.

In this special event, our panelists will share insights and real-world examples from their research and clinical practice with healthcare providers and public safety personnel. It is open to everyone who is looking to find self-compassion and become their own ally.

Objectives:

  • Understand the concept of self-compassion and its relevance to treatment
  • Explore research that connects self-compassion to healing, mental health and well-being
  • Learn how to recognize self-judgment and cultivate self-fairness
