Supporting a loved one with schizophrenia: CAT for families
November 30 @ 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Cognitive Adaptation Training (CAT) is a practical, evidence-based approach for families and caregivers of adults living with schizophrenia. In this interactive workshop you will gain strategies and tools to help your loved one build independence in taking care of themselves, their spaces, and participating in their communities.
About our presenter:
Courtney Brennan (she/her) is an Occupational Therapist (OT) leading the CAT service at CAMH. An OT for 11 years, Courtney has focused her work on enabling adults living with schizophrenia spectrum diagnoses to live more independently and engage with their occupations and communities. A researcher, educator, and clinician, Courtney has built evidence, trainings, and pathways to support the delivery of CAT throughout the hospital, while spearheading the use of CAT with forensic populations.
