Event Series:
Trauma-Informed Practice: A Three Part Series
Trauma-Informed Practice: A Three Part Series
June 14 @ 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
This training integrates current research from the fields of neuroscience, psychology and social work to demonstrate how individuals respond to traumatic experiences. The principles of Trauma-informed practice (TIP) will be identified and examined in detail. The relevance and application of TIP skills to mental health and substance use will be explored using case studies and group discussion. Following each session, resources will be shared for participants to further their learning and share with their teams.
This 3-week web-based course will benefit anyone working with individuals who have experienced trauma or in sectors where there is a high prevalence of trauma. The trauma informed practice online course will also appeal to managers and supervisors who are supporting staff to implement trauma-informed practice principles.
