Problematic Sexual Behavior Therapy Interventions (PSB-TI) – 2025-11-05

There was a service gap for low-risk clients charged with minor sexual or sexually motivated offences, who were ineligible for sexual offender programs at mental health facilities like CAMH. Courts, however, recommend counselling while awaiting trial or serving probation. A 10-week Problematic Sexual Behaviour Therapeutic Interventions (PSB-TI) supports individuals in conflict with the law due to problematic sexual behaviour, helping them manage urges, emotions, and develop healthy sexuality. Using psychoeducation and psychotherapeutic approaches, PSB-TI addresses consent, boundaries, unhealthy sexual behaviour, PSB as per Canadian law, and self-regulation skills to manage PSB effectively.
