Young Canadians are faced with a complex world that has detrimental effects on their well-being. The latest World Happiness Index revealed young Canadians are one of the unhappiest generations in the world, proving that the need for effective youth mental health initiatives are clear. Our sector is no short on solutions, yet these solutions are often met with barriers like capacity, resources and funds that inhibit sustainable change.

Amidst recent funding and budget announcements, including the federal government’s Youth Mental Health Fund, we are presented with the opportunity to lean into partnership and collaboration efforts to lead successful and sustainable initiatives.
