Goals and Key Commitments:
Increase awareness of the HSJCC and encourage engagement by community agencies and justice sector participants in coordinating services for people with mental disorders, acquired brain injuries and developmental disabilities facing criminal charges.
Specific Objectives:
Provide a forum where community agencies and justice stakeholders can become acquainted and explore common areas of concern as it relates to people with mental disorders, acquired brain injuries and developmental disabilities who come into conflict with the criminal law.
Provide education pertaining to the intersection of mental health and justice issues.
Explore opportunities to improve the coordination of resources between mental health, community and justice stakeholders.
