Howard Sapers is the Independent Advisor on Corrections Reform to the Ontario provincial government. Leading the Independent Review of Ontario Corrections, Mr. Sapers released Corrections in Ontario: Directions for Reform in October, 2017. The report examines select correctional practices and makes 62 recommendations to improve them with a focus on community safety, accountability and human rights. This report followed an interim report published earlier this year on the use of segregation. This webinar will cover some of the key findings and recommendations from both of these reports.
